Animal Mask

Attached is an image of a small mask that I have. It's made of wood with paint or pigment. Does anyone know its origins, age, and how it may have been used.

Thank you.

I believe that the mask is a rare example from the Heck-a-wee Tribe. This legendary group of three-foot-tall pygmies live in four-foot tall grass and as oral tradition goes first acquired their name when the chieftain asked his warriors "where the heck are we?"
This long lost tribe has never been seen before and that is why your example is so extraordinary.
Just having a little fun; as I'm sure you have already been told, your pictures didn't come through.
