Published in 1956, this elementary work by Harold L. (Leslie) Peterson is still one of the most comprehensive ever and one of my favourites!

Well, Rick, it used to be quite expensive some 30 years ago ... ;)

Two more basic reference works by the same author, who has always been highly esteemed by me as one of the best arms historians when it comes down to exactly dating an object! They were published in 1962 and 1971 (the second together with co-author Robert Elman) respectively and, in my opinion, have remained unsurpassed ever since!

Best,
Michael
