I am not an expert in mandaus and would like to have your opinion.
As you can see the scabbard is in bad conditions but still has a palm leaf pocket for the pisau raut, which seems good. Blade is too good to be old, but I hope not a tourist piece.
Thanks in advance

THE MANDAU LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THOSE USED FOR PRESENTATION TO IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND FOR DAYAK CEREMONIES OR DANCES. TOURISTS CAN BUY THEM AS WELL BUT THEY ARE NOT INEXPENSIVE. THE CARVED BONE IS OFTEN PIG BONE WITH DYED GOAT HAIR DECORATION AND A CARVED DEER ANTLER HANDLE. THE SIDE KNIFE LOOKS LIKE A GOOD OLDER ONE THAT PROBABLY IS NOT ORIGINAL TO THE SWORD. BOTH ARE NICE EXAMPLES OF THE TYPE.

I agree - this is no tourist piece. Very nice.
