Hi all. Picked this axe up amongst a small collection of swords and would like to know more about its origins type of stone , shaft material , . Many thanks shinyblades

Very nice. I think it is South American. I hope to add pictures. The shape of the stone is atypical of PNG. Looks good to swing.

Also the shaft from palm wood is atypical for PNG. Interesting axe. :)

I like the palm wood handle, but it looks too short for the apparent weight of the stone. Wrap looks like rattan common in Indonesia area. Stone, somewhat sculpted, looks more like a basher than a chopper. Dare I say craft item rather than used in the field?
