Reference Book Library.

Salaams,
I find it quite hard going delving into history often without reference books and sometimes only using the web which quite often takes me straight back to this Forum website ( We are a well known resource !) Nontheless the web has insufficient data on this very specialised subject. Often the trail runs dry, is inaccurate, incomplete, or does not exist. Museum sites block access to most collections. We scream out for information. Books. Books about bladed and other weapons. There are thousands out there. This is very relevant for beginners and experts alike.

What I respectfully request is some guidance indicator on an in house non commercial library list with a star rating 1 to 5 ***** of excellence as rated by moderator staff with perhaps a small write up. This can be added to by everyone and in no time at all we should have a great list of books everyone can search for and purchase on wherever it is for sale Amazon or other.

I therefor reccommend this subject for inclusion as a sticky.

Regards,
Ibrahiim al Balooshi.

"Simple Search button on Forum's menu bar will reveal a lot". Can we make it a sticky:-)

in terms of Islamic Arms and Armor books, Jens covered it well: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ntal+splendour

Also, from Rand on SFI: http://www.swordforum.com/forums/sho...Arms-and-Armor

Salaams, Thank you Alex and Gav. I look forward to seeing this launch into a full on library. Is there a target date? How do we add book references to this resource please? Ibrahiim al Balooshi.
