Strange Indonesian combo with a provenance

It's a shame that the proper blade of this Balinese ceremonial dagger got lost.
But obviously someone did his own creative solution adding a Javanese keris blade to this beautiful scabbard and handle.
The price of this combination dagger however leaves a margin for the winner to find a Balinese blade and make it complete again.

Yes, I watched this one too. They don't coem along that often

But finding a matching and fitting blade will not be easy I think.

I also was watching this. But, like you said, finding a Balinese blade that would fit this sandang walikat scabbard....

Saw one a lot like this at the Japanese sword show in San Francisco. Should have grabbed it when I first saw it, but walked around doing some more looking at the Nihonto, and it was gone when I got back.

Yes, maybe it will be a long term project to find a matching dagger.
I have been looking for one of these for years and this Summer I was very lucky.
At a local auction house in a small Scandinavian city, that usually doesn't have anything within my interest, I found this one.

Nice - now that is how a Balinese ceremonial piece should be.

The blade looks a little strange to me.
Are you sure this is not some odd combo of a balinese scabbard and some scandinavian knife ? ;) ;) ;) :D :D :D :D :D

Ps. But seriously it is an amazing piece, the scabbard is very much like the one on ebay.
