Bali Keris Update, 2 of 2

Now here is this one, which I think came out much better. There is a bit of purplish staining in spots, especially around the pits where I picked out rust, and there is a bit of yellowy bruise color in a couple of spots. I don't know what caused that, but it doesn't disturb me much. The pamor does seem to be shining through, mostly. Again, I don't know how to describe the pamor or dapur, so anything anyone can tell me would be appreciated. This keris was quite sad and rusty when I first got it, and it has taken quite a while to get it to this point. Because of this, I can say that while my treatment is probably not as good as could be done, the keris is better than it was before, so that is a good thing.

Were I you, I would be quite happy with this effort .

I'm with Rick: A typical keris Bali with nice blade and pamor. The warangan came out very nicely and with the typical Bali finish - congrats!

The pitted areas are not that distracting IMHO and, as already stated, you've got an almost undamaged, original blade tip as a bonus.

Regards,
Kai
