Interesting Napoleonic era Cavalry sword, provenience?

I've bought this cavalry sabre recently. I cannot determine the proveninece. I would exclude Austria or France, as there are no similarities in the construction. From the construction of the hilt, I'm inclined to think early 19th century german, or perhaps Solingen made for the British, Danish, or some other countrys cavalry. Has a British look somehow (scabbard), but I do not find any similar hilt in the litarature. Another interesting feature is the oval cabochon shape on the back of the blade. Looks like a finger rest, seen quite commonly on british swords, but it is placed rather awkwardly and it makes no sense - it should be placed much closer to the guard :shrug:

The blade is unmarked (not common for british swords) with lot of similarities to blucher model, widely used by german states and Brittain in that period.

What am I missing?
