Hi Guys ,

I need some help here..
Someone offerd me a keris , but i.m realy not sure if it is old
It was no problem when i showed it here , so here it is .
I didnt had it in my hands.

What is confusing me is the Wranka , real or painted ?
The pamor ? never see it before ?
The ganja wilut , it is on one side longer ..is that normal with a wilut ?
Genuine old or a young keris ?

Photo,s are from the seller , we have to do it with these :o

thanks,

danny

This is a guess of an ignorant person. I think, for somebody, who has been in a forge in Madura this must be an absolutely clear case.

To me wrongko seems to be real pelet wood, if it is old, it's overcleaned. This and the same for hilt reminds me of an indonesian "restoration". The sheath mouth could be recently wided for the blade.

The blade could be reworked old material (?).

Take with a box of salt :)

Hey, this is the subject I've been longing to discuss. I would really like to go to Madura but had no access there. Could anyone please describe to me what "reworked old material" tends looks like in general? Will greatly appreciate pictures. Thanks!!!
