may be a twistcore.

kino 15th December 2009 12:33 AM

Looks like it has the makings of a twist core, but it might not be Moro....... :)

Spunjer 15th December 2009 12:35 AM

WOW, missed that one, if it went for the price in the question, somebody made a deal.

Well yes, it does look like someone made him and offer and he took it off auction....but isn't that against eBay rules? And he did it right out in the open.
I agree, a steal at that price.

Also agree, but who know's how much he get for it, but it will be still a steal.
BTW, the sheat mouth don't look original.

I was told that it went for $500 bucks, and I was the 11th person "_itching"
about it!

I also had this, as well as the "arty" panabas, on my watch list - frustrating
It's a Peninsular Malay Keris Sundang and I also suspected that it had twist core.
The horn scabbard mouth is original but the top of the wood below is broken which is the reason why it looks like a strange fit.
I don't get it why somebody cancels an auction on something he obviously doesn't know what it is or what value it has when he gets that much attention on it???

Hullo everybody!

As a small Christmas present....

The lady owner said that the item had a ... twisted center blade....., which to me, means twist-core.:)

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!

Best,
