Hi napoleon,
Isn't it:

" No me habras sin razón ni me cierres sin honor "

Napoleon,

What a beauty – I am envious!

In Forton’s book Navajas Antiguas - La Mejores Piezas de Coleccion, on page 82 there are three navajas that are very similar to yours and are attributed to Sevilla, towards the end of the 19th century.

As Fernando says, the inscription, though quite unclear to my eyes, appears to be the usual “No me saques sin razon – no me cierres sin honor” (Don’t take me out without reason and do not close without honour) and “ Sevilla”. Here we have to remember that a good many cutlers were illiterate and just wrote these inscriptions flying blind, so to speak. Actually, I think that Fernando read it much better than I and I would go with his.

I cannot discern a maker’s name or brand. However if you can see something, please take a good pic of it and post it.

Cheers
Chris

A lovely knife, but I agree with Fernando; it's a motto.
I think the maker's name, would normally be stamped at the base of the blade which, in this case, is covered by the decorative elements.

I don't think a makers name can be found. The city, yes !
