Hi All,

Identification of the pamor on this Javanese Solo Keris Java

I found this one today. The keris itself seems old.

Any ideas on the pamor type?

Wos wutah (beras wutah > scattered rice).

It is a random pamor motif, not a planned pamor motif.

There might have been some intended surface manipulation at time of manufacture, and at the present time a whole swath of names for variations of wos wutah has arisen, however at base, this is a simple random pattern pamor.

Agree, I would call it also wos wutah. I think that the gonjo is a very recent replacement and the kinatah as well.

Detlef

Hi all, thanks for al the information. I also had that idea. Because the keris itself is very fragile on the point of the wilah.
