And done. Hopefully I won't kill neither the server nor anyone's computer with this.

Let's see here, the picture "Cuirassier 3.jpg" I assume? That a prosthetic hand, yes. 17th century, part of the loot from Warsaw 1655.

Among so many truly unique items for something to 'stand out' it has to be pretty unusual!
What a great idea, worthy of a thread on its own as so many of the items you've shown are! I wonder if the owner had a selection?
I wonder if any incorporated weapons?

I must say the 'Jade' flanged mace is pretty unique too!

Great job, Kisak, thank you so much!!!

And if I may add, very good images as well!

Did you make contacts before so that you were allowed to use flash?

I know the curator of the Livrustkammaren, Nils Drejholt; he is a very nice person. Whenever you plan to go there again and have a special wish regarding photography please let me know well ahead and I shall see what I can do.

I sent you a Private Message.

Best wishes,
Michael

Nice to hear you liked the images.

Regarding the flash, I simply asked in the reception when I bought my ticket.

Very kind of you to offer a channel to the curator, I'll remember that if I ever get the ideas to some special project.

And lastly, mail sent.

Thank you very much, Kisak. You are now sconced in the hallowed grounds of Collectors Lore, right beside Matchlock.

A pity no one has similar pics from Madrid's Museo del Ejercito ...

Best regards

Manuel Luis

Michael, Do you possibly have any information on the sword that is displayed with the suit of armour on the right in the second to last picture you posted?
Thank you.

Robert

Well, Robert,

All I can tell from the photo is that it seems to be a late 16th century rapier.
