Cirebon Keris huge blade

This Cirebon Keris has a very well carved handle with a fine reddish brown patina. Huge blade. My gut says the blade has some good age to it. The handle to. Comments appreciated.

Hello Rick,

when all is original to the blade, I mean handle and scabbard, I would describe it as Tegal keris.

Detlef

Hi Rick,
The figural hilt is in wayang style identified as Dursasana or Rajamala and generally attributed to Tegal, but similar pieces are also found in Central Java.
The warangka is in pelokan/ gayaman style usually attributed to Cirebon or the North Coast, the specific warangka style from Tegal has "hanging ears", see pics.
Regards
