can you tell me what you think of this small shield bontoc
It measures 70cm long x 18cm wide was used it has a child or is a decorative shield
I have never seen as small
the last weaving rattan is unusual
the patina seems quite old

IT COULD HAVE BEEN USED FOR DANCE AND PERHAPS BY A CHILD, BUT I SUSPECT IT WAS MADE FOR DISPLAY ON THE WALL. IF THE HANDLE IS WORN OR DISCOLORED AND CAN BE GRIPED THAT WOULD BE THE BEST INDICATOR OF USE.

Thank you I also think that it would be for a child... There was a label indicating child Oceania shield... In addition it is very well done...
