Fresh from Afghanistan-Khyber sword knife

This Khyber was in an Afghan bazaar less than 3 weeks ago. Blade is 21 inches and there is a mark on both sides of the blade that looks like this
>---<. The line is solid and connected to the arrows though. It is too faint to photo. The AK was not in the shipment.

Cheers

Beautiful! I especially like the decorative coloration/etching on the hilt, which is somewhat reminscent of designs I've seen executed on the fancier choora in the past.

I love these weapons, there's just something about the balance of them, sepecially when you get a pair that more or less match so you have one in each hand. It also helps that these are one of the few 'ethnic' weapons that fit my hands! :D

So, do you have contacts over there that allow you access to such choice treats, or was it just a friend passing through?

Gorgeus Piece! I love it!

Few things can beat the feeling of a khyber/choora pair in one's hands...
