Very nice example. Mas Kartadimadja is probably the maker and it is as Carlos mentioned made in Tjikeroeh, Java.

See the item as a bring back souvenir for the Dutch soldiers. Maybe a utility knife for Dutch civilians working and living in Indonesia. Certainly not a militairy weapon.

Wow, one of the best I have seen in a long time.

Congratulations.

Best regards,

First let me state what a wonderful piece you have!
I had just come back from a show late last night, so to relax, I went to the forum to see what had been newly posted, which is my customary habit;when I saw your piece and the postings of the other forum members, I almost fell out of my chair ! I had picked up a sword from the show, which I wasn't sure what it was and "lo and behold," an instant answer.Any chance you guys could give up 6 winning lottery numbers?

Sure, no problem :D

Yours is nice as well. A Tjikeroeh golok with the well known eagle hilt.
