Help with ID of this DAGGER

Not sure whether this should be in the EUROPEAN section or here , so admin please move if you think so . An acquaintance told me that his father brought this back from Cyprus in the 1950s ... but what it is I have no idea so wonder if any of you can help ?

This is a great knife from India (now Pakistan). Kingdom of Sindh. 19th century. Similar knife published: Ricketts H. Splender des armes orientales. Paris, 1988

Correct. Only the one posted here lost the cap of the handle.
