Peach-shaped kabuto Momonari with his mempo

this is some pics of a Peach-shaped kabuto Momonari made from 4 iron plates the neck guard with 5 plates. This design was very popular in the Sengoku period, and was inspired by the European helmet. This helmet has his original Lacquered-Iron Half Mask (Mempo)It has a lot of signs of wear and never have been re-lacquered and I would say that I prefer to have this set without any restoration or new liner.I Don’t like to have an helmet fully restored without any sign of age.
Any comment on it will be welcome

I'm with you - no restoration; leave it be. Nice find BTW.

This Kabuto found on ebay is the good example !It 's look Like brand new !
How to estimate age with such helmet ?no patina may be fully re-laced and perhaps a modern copy and of course sold for gold money !
