Ottoman

Ariel is right - it looks Ottoman and the hilt looks like a brown agate with gold inlay.

Hi "weapons 27" ... very nice Ottoman dagger,
you are a lucky guy, because ... I was very interested ... ;)
two reasons made that I didn't bid
- no scabbard
- the mean reason, in fact, I was sure (?) to have seen, a similar some where else,
and I dunno why, I got the feeling (wrong at the evidence) that's was a duplicate,
and for your luck, I left it :p ... for a very cheap price, really a present

unfortunately, as far as it's not Arabic writing
impossibility to translate what's on the blade :o
presumably, should be Ottoman language, has to be confirmed
sincere congratulations

It could be either Turkish or Persian in Arabic script. Not uncommon.
