These photos which I was able to find on various websites and from books that are related to the indigenous lifestyle(s) that covered the islands.


I would like the note the Lumad with the spear pointed on the ground with a shield while wearing armor. I never knew that type of armor was worn among the highlanders of Mindanao, as most photos I've seen shown them wearing lighter cloth.

Another picture I'd like to point out is the painting of the Filipino on a horse while wearing a some sort of cape, maybe a recognition of police authority? Not sure how accurate the painter were trying to make sense of what was going on at the time but I just wanted to point out that he is carrying what seems to be a Spanish officer sword.

Salaams MaharlikaTimawa ~Just to be clear please, what are the dates of Pre Colonial Philipines and what are the dates of Post Colonial Philipines...?
