Earthquake in Jawa

Please send all your thoughts and blessings towards Jawa where a 6.2 quake has just killed at least 2700 people. I am not yet aware of other ways to send aid, but i am sure they will present themselves. Between this, the recent tsunami and bird flu outbreaks our brothers and sisters in Indonesia have be hard hit of late. A little prayer couldn't hurt. :)

Prayers sent to all victims and their relatives!

It would be nice to hear of the forumites living in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas (whenever they get Internet access again) - thanks!

Regards,
Kai

Looks like Mt Merapi is not done with her 'tantrums' yet. Hope the volcano and nearby fault lines do not blow up big-time and cause more loss of life and damage...

Really thank you

As Jawanese people, I really appreciate with your kindness attention about EarthQuake in Jogjakarta. Really tragic indeed.., considering Indonesia just stricken by Tsunami at Aceh and slide hills at Jember East Jawa, also another disasters.

I also hope and pray for your family and friends at there are healthy and not affected.

God Bless you all.
Warmest regards,

Mans.

Belasungkawa

My prayers for my Indonesian brothers and sisters in Yogyakarta Hadiningrat and those living in the shadows of Gunung Merapi. Semoga tabah menghadapi ujian Yang Maha Esa.

My thoughts are with our brothers and sisters in Jawa.

Marc 30th May 2006 09:44 AM

Our toughts here are also with the people of Jawa. So many catastrophes...

Mark 30th May 2006 03:29 PM

My prayer is that this latest catastrophe is not as quickly forgotten in the world as the tsumani. More than a months-worth of support is needed. :(

PS: I "fixed" the thread title, not intending any disrespect, but because somehow seeing the words "Earthquake is Jawa" carried an ominous emotional and spiritual significance beyond a simple missed key-stroke. I hope you don't mind, Nechesh.

My thoughts are with the peoples of Java, my condolences to all those affected by the recent earthquake. My respect too, their resilience in adversity is truly remarkable.........my prayer would be that the recent increase in volcanic activity abates......they have suffered enough.
