Hybrid Philippine Sword? Help in Translation Please

I acquired this sword in the Philippines but have no idea of its origin. Overall lenght is 74.5 cm, and scabbard lenght is 49 cm. The blade has strange designs etched on it, while the scabbard shows ancient Philippine script. Can anyone help translate this script?

Looks like a reasonably new Dha to me.
Thailand, Burma....

Ariel is correct: Thai daab. Second half of the 20th century.

Some of the symbols do look like they could be Baybayin ( I don't know what Thai/Burmese script looks like though). Here's a couple of links for Baybayin script:
