Can somebody help me to put a date on this blade ?

The inscription is:
MARTINDALE
BIRMINGHAM
MADE IN ENGLAND
REGISTERED (with the crocodile)
N° 1623

On the scabbard there is a coin :
East African & Ouganda protectorates 1911

Perhaps the manufacturer can help with the markings?

Martindale machetes appear with a lot of regularity on ebay, you could (as a last resort) keep an eye on them and look for a match to the model number?
You've googled it I guess?
