UNUSUAL DHA-LIKE SWORD FOR COMMENTS

My latest aquisition.

O/A length is 24"
Blade 17.5" and laminated
Hilt is carved wood, I do not recognise the figure.
Scabbard is rattan-bound wood.
Photos not brilliant, I'll take some more if anyone wants them.

Not seen one like this. I am hoping someone can tell me where it is from.

It have an indonesian touch, maybe Lombok. :shrug: :confused:

Hi Roy,
cannot help with origins .....other than SEA. Strange that the carved face seems African :confused:

This very thought comes to my mind every time I look on the Sumatra Pedang I have :)
But many Tibetan blades were in reality trade blades from China, as well there were Chinese sword smiths working in Malaysia and Indonesia. So in principle these blades may be relatives…
