Should be grateful for opinions about this dagger. Anything at all...
Sorry for terrible pictures but I do not have it in my own hands so I can not take my own pictures.
Lenght around 25 cm.

Best,
Stefan

Hello,
seems to be a typical recent reproduction from India.

I've wondered about Indian reproductions. Are many of these old blades with new fittings? Or is everything new and the blades are a mechanical damascus made to resemble wootz?

Yes, everything is new and the blades are made of mechanical damascus, often rose damascus.
Decorative but not really collectable.

Quite often, they are a marriage of an old blade and a new garish handle or vice versa.
India is still full of old junk and,- occasionally,- old masterpieces.
Just now, a combination sword with a glorious 16-17 century handle with virtually intact gilding but with a munition grade 19 century blade was sold for $9,500 + 25% auction fee.
