Another Newbie Question

I've been trying to learn as much as I can and lately hilts have been at the forefront. Here's one I haven't found a clear answer on. The hilt in the picture I believe is a Rakasa hilt and from what I've read is from Bali and East Java. Now, is this hilt more appropriate on a Bali Keris or could it go with this blade and dress?

Thanks,

Dan

Hello Dan,

first thought when I see the hilt is Bali in origin. Can we have a front view from the hilt?

Detlef

Look like Bhuta Nawasari, a Bali hilt.

So, is it inappropriate for that dress?

Thanks,

Dan

Yes, a planar Solo hilt will be the best for this keris! Wait a little bit, sometimes something come across you don't wait for! :) ;)

I have the original hilt, I was just thinking about dressing it up a bit and I like those hilts. The picture is just a quick Photoshop.
