Interesting. I know nothing of these things, but i see a significant difference in condition between this example from the early period and those from a later stage. I have a catalogue from HH dated 2003 where an amazing collection belonging to the late Axel Guttmann was auctioned. Among the most amazing items of the early ages, one can see a dozen examples from the late Hallstatt tradition, circa 6th to 2nd centuries BC ... all in pristine condition, so to say.

May i, Rick ...
( I hope i am not talking nonsense :o)
