This is another of the pieces found in the bin, bought from a dealer who had it in his scrap box. I also found a typical eastern lance butt, ball and spike type, in the same box. So, now looking to get it hafted up and on display. I think this might be Indian in origin, but welcome any input from this forum as to probable date or other place of manufacture.

I concur - it looks Indian or Middle Eastern

Hi, I tried posting this earlier, but had to reduce it's size to get it to load. This piece was a bit battered when I got it, rusty, bent and hatched down one face as though for use as a file. In fact I think it spent time in a toolbox as a usefull piece of scrap metal. I am in the proccess of cleaning it properly and refinishing it...no trace of it's original surface finish left at all.

Butt.

This is the lance butt that I found in the same bits box. Probably/certainly from another weapon, but of the right type, I think. Now looking for a nice piece of bamboo or hardwood to make a shaft for it.
