Hello all,

Thank you for the feedback on the other swords I have posted. I appreciate the combined knowledge of the group. Especially with how much remains unknown around smallswords, every piece of additional information is a gem in my view.

My next smallsword is a dainty steel hilted piece decorated with classical iconography in gold damascening. The pas d'ane guard is asymmetrical with earlier style pronounced annelets. The grip is bound in fine twisted silver wire.

It sports a long and stiff, un-signed hollow ground tri-form blade with fairly typical engraving and signs of gilding.

Length OA: 958mm
Blade Length: 820mm
P.O.B: 110mm
Weight: 270 gram

My second sword for consideration. As usual, all comments and insights are welcome.

Steel hilted smallsword with pierced and chased decoration. Fairly stereotypical pas d'ane guard is symmetrical with quasi-military / musical motifs decorations. Annelets are of the smaller late 18th Century style. The grip is bound in twisted wire and copper tape. It sports a stiff, tri-form hollow ground blade that is marked I.C.B (Johann and Clemens Boegel of Solingen) on the ricasso.

Length OA: 991mm
Blade Length: 830mm
P.O.B: 75mm
Weight: 320 grams
