hi all, this piece is 91/2'', my question is why are there two type of brass...............jimmy

Salaams have a look at http://www.vikingsword.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000498.html I think the different metals are brass and copper and in the blade inlay gold and silver with silver also used in the hilt.
