"Market at Marahui"

Here's a photo taken in Marawi, Lanao del Sur in 1898. It is part of the Parker Hitt Photograph Collection, University of Michigan, Special Collections Library. Zoomed in, you will see a Moro kris pommel similar to that above.

Well, those are both gorgeous kris! The man straddling the word 'market' is also wearing an edged weapon - I do enjoy those pictures from back when the manner of costume varied widely across the globe.

Ron, nice twist core pattern on your kris! very topographic, you can almost see the deeps an ridges of those cores, love it! It is almost my b-day, I love to see one of those blades in from of my door. How about it, D're!
