Mystery knife / Nepal?

3 Attachment(s)
Hello all,

Here is a recent addition to my collection. I was entranced by the elaborate shape and the seller's story that this is a traditional ritual knife from Nepal. It certainly does not resemble a phurba!

Total length about 41cm. The blade has a slight diamond cross-section.

Attached are the seller's pictures. I have not yet received the item.

Any ideas? What is it?

Thanks,

Dave A.

Hello Dave,
Not my area at all but it looks African to me. Someone will probably be along shortly to give you a real answer to your question.
Best,
Robert

Congo Currency Knife?

It resembles a Belgium Congo currency knife currently listed on eBay. Could that be it?

It's a common Konda knife from Congo.

Yes, agree with Congoblades, status knife from the Konda, Sengele, Lia and Jia.

Regards,

Detlef
