Here's to the peaceful transfer of power in the US

Hi All,

I've been watching Obama's inauguration. I have no desire to talk politics, since many here are not US citizens.

Rather, I would just like to celebrate the peaceful transfer of power in the US. Let us hope that that this becomes the norm throughout the world, whatever the local politics are now. I far prefer collecting antique weapons to using modern ones.

Best wishes to all,

F

Here, here!

Its been nice to see such positive media coverage of the US.

I also watched the coverage today and was relieved to see it go so well.
I think he seems like a sincere man and a decent man as well.

I sincerely hope he will have the strength to fulfill a large part of the huge expectations that so many have in him.

Congratulations USA, good luck to you all, and your new president.

Regards
Gene

Luck needed

This thread shouldn't have even been started altho meant well I'm sure. Don't forget almost half the country didn't vote for him. The stock market tanked today and is not a good sign. We are going to need the wished luck so we don't become a European model socialist state. God help us.

I agree with closing this thread, Rick.

Let's leave the political discussion to other boards, guys.

Thanks!
