Indian/Pakistan weapons for ID - Help Required!

Hi Folks,

I could do with some detailed identification of some weaponry here for providing ID cards to attach below each after restoration, and hope that the collective expertise here may come to my rescue! :)

Here is a shot of the weapons board -

All I know is that the three lower daggers are types of Katar. The other ones I am quite unfamiliar with.

The small axes each have hidden stiletto spikes that unscrew with the lower grip piece.

One katar contained a wee surprise also!

To this! (activated by squeezing grips together) -

Here are some closer pics of the others -

Any assistance with identification of the specific weapon types/period/geographic origin would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul Macdonald

I THINK ALL OF THE ITEMS ARE FROM INDIA, THE LONG KATAR IN THE CENTER LOOKS TO BE THE BEST ONE AND HAS A THICKENED POINT FOR PENETRATING CHAIN MAIL OR ARMOR. THE ONE THAT OPENS TO EXPOSE A INNIER BLADE IS NOT ESPECIALLY RARE AND THERE IS SOME CONTROVERSY AS TO ITS FUNCTIONS. THE SMALL SPEAR LIKE ITEM JUST ABOVE THE KATARS IS AN ANKUS (ELEPHANT GOAD) USED BY THE MAHOUT TO CONTROL THE ELEPHANT.
SOME OF THE MEMBERS ARE MUCH MORE EXPERIENCED IN ITEMS FROM INDIA SO PERHAPS THEY CAN HELP YOU FURTHER. CLOSE UP PICTURES OF ANY DESIGNS ON THE TWO AX OR OTHER ITEMS MIGHT BE OF HELP IN THE EXPERTS PINNING DOWN PERIOD AND ORIGIN. GOOD LUCK

Thanks Vandoo!

Can anyone else here provide any further detailed info on any pieces?

Here they are after a bit of TLC -

Restoration revealed a lot of beautiful silverwork on the blades and helmet -
