Latest Moro Kris, help please

Hello all,
Have managed to pick up another Moro Kris (no scabbard).
I’ve made some notes from perusing Cato but was hoping for some input from forum members.

Approx 28 inch/71cm in length.
Based on separation line (am assuming is a distinct separation line indicative of blade being made of two parts) maybe late 1800’s early 1900’s?
Straight edge, no luks, maybe a fighting kris.
Maranao elephant trunk design?
One asang-asang.
Possibly chipped/broken kakatua crest on handle?
Any help with identifying would be much appreciated.
Also steps (or link) I can use as a guide to remove rust.
thanks

http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/images...thread_hot.gif RATS IT DOSEN'T WORK FOR ME IT SEEMS I JUST COPYED THE IKON :(

I HOPE THIS LINK WORKS BUT IF IT DOSENT SEARCH FOR (RUSTY MORO KRIS) POSTED BY mrwizard on 12/4/2010.
LIKELY YOUR INFORMATION SO FAR IS CORRECT BUT IF NOT PERHAPS THOSE MEMBERS WITH BETTER INFORMATION MAY CHIME IN WHEN THIS GOES TO THE TOP AGAIN. THE ONLY OBSERVATION I CAN MAKE IS THAT IT APPEARS THE SAME HALF MOON STAMP WAS USED ON ALL THE FITTINGS SO THEY WERE NO DOUBT MADE AT THE SAME TIME AND BY THE SAME MAKER.
THERE ARE MANY OTHER POSTS ON CLEANING BLADES SO A FORUM SEARCH WILL NO DOUBT TURN OUT MORE INFORMATION. GOOD LUCK :)
