Medal ice trapped
 

Good day dear members

I try this one:
I was walking last week-end in the Alps on a glacier when I found this medal under the ice.
a medal, not a coin, flat on the reverse side so I don't think it's really medieval😅.

The engravings king/rider with a sword with a devil/someone under ? and the w signs ?? reminds me something but i can not fix it.

Could it have to do something with Flums in St. Gallen?

Here is an English translation of the article in the above link:

In its early days, the municipality of Flims used the golden arrow on a black background as a seal, the sign of the lords of Capol, who, as mayors, managed the affairs of the municipality. Several parchments from the precious Flims community archive contain the following closing formula: "Henceforth, the above-mentioned Amann, council and entire community of the village of Flims have seriously asked the firm (Wolfen, Hansen...) of Capaul that he publicly hang his own seal on them Letter".

After Flims had begun to break away from Pfäfers Abbey and the Chur church during the Reformation, the community created its own seal. She chose the image of the church saint Martin with the crouching beggar. The seal had the inscription: "SEAL THE GMEIND OF FLIMS".

If the Flims main church is dedicated to Saint Martin, who was the national saint of the Franks and later the French, this is a clear indication that this place of worship was built in the early Middle Ages, namely at the time when Raetia belonged to the Frankish Empire and Franconian messengers of the faith did Country converted to Christianity (6th century).

it looks like the souvenir medallions which have a leather tab backing as in keyrings
