Pedang from Java .
The blade could use a stain . :)
Age is hard to tell; usually these are not polished blades .

Thank you Rick for your quick answer .
Is it a god one one or made for tourist ?

I agree with Rick and would also say this is not a tourist pedang. Don't know who polished the blade like this, but it does indeed need a staining with warangan to bring out the pamor.

Agree with Rick and David, it's a pedang lurus, old, not made for tourists.

Pedang lurus from Java. Very nice piece. If you could stain it with warangan the pamor will come out very nice. Is the blade polished? Could be also the flash light. The blade is cleaned but not treated with warangan again.

Nice repouse work on the scabbard. :)

A stain would indeed upgrade this pedang. :)

Best regards,
Willem

Here one from my collection for comparison, 48 cm inside the sheath with a blade from 34,5 cm. Still in untouched condition. A new staining will bring out the pamor.

Detlef
