Another so called parang betino for our archives

I just acquired a so called parang betino, a rather simple example and not so fancy like the others here shown examples but this shows that there also not only ceremonial examples exist.
Like usual are all comments very welcome.

I have similar exemple, but with buffalo horn handle.

Nice examples both of you gentlemen. They are quite rare. However they are simple and yet elegant in design, they certainly serve an ability for non-ceremonial use.

The Palembang attribution is correct. All examples I have sen are attributed to the Palembang region, 19th century. However, some examples with comparable blades called 'Sekin' have different hilts and are attributed to the Karo Batak.
