Modern Swedish armourer

We have a new professional Master Armourer in Sweden called Albert Collins (the last one was called Borg and died in 1781). For those interested in armour it’s worth following his work for insights how armourers worked and how armour likely was produced and used.

This video shows a knight getting dressed with armour: https://www.facebook.com/11480969857...1175898607678/.

He has a Facebook page and a website (Via Armorari) where you can follow his work.

Gack! - that looks tight. No wonder he can't move at the end - must be turning purple from lack of oxygen.

He made that suit of armour himself. It’s displayed at the Swedish Royal Armoury in Stockholm, with the tools and information how it was produced using traditional methods.

He wears specially made protective clothing underneath called gameson. The armour plate system works in conjunction with it. It was not just fashion but some details in the clothes were part of the combat system.
