Funny cuz it is true.

I have actually watched myself, like an out of body experience, paying some multiple of what I think the thing is worth and thinking "Ed, you are deranged" and (worse) replying "this is the last raise".

One time I got an arrowhead and some guy had wanted it for a museum somewhere. I emailed the guy and told him I lost control and felt like an idiot and that he could have it for his high bid. See, I didn't really want the thing, I just didn't want to loose.

Thank god for Auction Sniper.

My friend who collects sheet music taught me that years ago, and I have practiced that every time that I really wanted something.

And if I REALLY want it I'll make my maximum bid as high as I can afford.I don't waste my time trying to get close and save pennies. Better to bid boldly and win by a few dollars than to get cheap and realize that you lost by a dollar.

I'll be posting this pesh-kabz soon- I am still waiting to get it.
