I don't want to say that the sword in question is a hengdang, I only want to show that you can find long handled swords in the region.

A few pictures of hengdang, found online.

All I said was I had my doubts. I did not mention that this sword was put together to deceive etc I could not place it and so stayed away. It might well be a unique gem and that's fine by me.
