Sorry, I misunderstood, well Ive blown your photo up & the grip certanly looks like a shabriya!

There also appears to be a hole where a link could be fitted.

I wonder how old the photo is? I wonder when Bedouin stopped using Matchlocks?

Thanks Much, Could you share more of your impression of this knife and the three pronged pommel ?
I'd like to know what it all means and about the era in which it was made.
