it's classical Arabic,
it's acts of poem,
the translation is not, and cannot be literal,
but given by the general meaning

be not too malicious ... if some one found a distortion in the translation,
but ... classical + poem it's realy an headache :o

- Christian name, which is interesting

In Ottoman period as well as in today's Turkey, many Muslims also use/d this name probably due to the fame of Alexander in Islamic culture (the story of Zulkareyn in Quran, and the argument that Zulkareyn, in fact, was Alexander)
