I have to agree with Atlantia .... Princess Bride.
But this is a close second for me. The 3-way sword duel in Pirate's of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest. It's in 2 parts. Doesn't really get going until the second half of part 1:

Darn it, you're taking all my best choices.

One of my favorites that hasn't been posted yet is the Ziyi Zhang vs. Michelle Yeoh fight in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OxQ-2gR1DU).

i like the battle scene at the beginning of 'gladiator' even tho they did computer enhance the archery and artillery, they should have used pilums (pilii?) just before contact with the barbarians tho i guess health and safety thought they'd be too dangerous. the battle broke up into a general melee a bit too soon too.

Battle Linky (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6foGlyNor_g)

i especially get a kick out of the scenes just before the battle as the german leader hold up the roman head with the sound track from 'zulu' in the background ;) ('Zulu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1csr0dxalpI)' is another favourite of mine, limited sword action but iklwas make up for it)

the fight in the colosseum is pretty cool

Colosseum Linky (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaYeAgyNogg)

p.s. - if you include TV series/made for TV movies, the Sharpe series has everything, swords, bayonets, cavalry, ethnographic weapons, muskets, spontoons, cannon, duels, battles, seiges, and more.

Wheee!!! This really is fun!!! :)
Gee, there are so many really neato sword scenes, who knows where to begin! but the Princess Bride really was fun....I've watched it about three times in the last week (it seems to have been on a lot lately).

the best one non movie related though, is me and my t(rusty) tulwar against the ceiling fan. I lost my drinking in the den priviledges.

This is a good film, 13th Warrior ....12 Vikings and 1 Arabic Warrior ....OK not historically accurate (AFAIK) but entertaining

I am very surprised that 'Kingdom of Heaven' has not featured yet, again they've taken 'historical licence'....but the battle scenes

Hi David ,
Riaa represents the recording industries who went after people some years ago who were downloading free music via napster; big lawsuits ; even end users were targeted for civil action .

The same could be claimed about downloading unauthorized movie clips .

Anyway, hasn't happened yet ...

P.S.A.
Public service announcement :D

Hi Rick,
thanks for the explaination ;) You Americans sure love your acronyms and initialisms ;)

Would I be right in saying that the RIAA would only be interested if the video clips are actually downloaded and stored on your hard-drive ?

Kind Regards David
