Hi,
these recently finished on eBay ... look relatively recent. The stacked handle and the stamping on the blade suggest Toureg :confused: But I have never seen this type attributed to North Africa. They look as if they would be used in pairs...one in each hand...in a slashing action... but there is little evidence of an edge and assume these are a tourist copy of a genuine form of dagger:shrug:
However, these daggers are almost certainly tourist or modern. My concern is the markings....the half moon consisting of two stamps, the semi-circle and the face. I have seen identical marks on some Takouba...that were allegedly late 19thC :rolleyes:
