That "stand" would look GREAT in the corner of my lounge---or for that matter any other room in the house. Should be able to be adapted to hold more than 1 sword also I would think! :D

Stand looks authentic. Not old. Better than average! Perhaps "made for market?" ;)

sadly, did not come with the stand. i gather there are a number of websites that similar stands are available, tho they tend to be costly and may not last as long as you expect.

as an off topic comment on the weapon, instead of the stand, the blades are well made, hand forged and have a hardened edge, are differentially hardened/tempered and come razor sharp, they are chisel ground as is traditional (edge and tip bevel on starboard side, port side is flat) they do show a 'hamon'.

the scabbard is a bit crude as is the grip and the rattan wrapped bolster, but fully functional.

i also have a pinute, two garab knives, and a talibon from the same maker - the talibon is my favourite.

This type of swordstand ....certainly argues the case for polygamy :D :p :cool:
