I am receiving/holding some pieces from a friend in Europe who will be visiting me soon. I asked his permission to post these.
It is a very interesting Shandigan Barong with 14.5 inch patterned blade. Overall length is 21.5 inches. Tarnished silver ferrule.

Thanks, folks!
This blade is really interesting: Those shandigan barongs which I've seen had pretty evenly forged/grinded blades while this one has a kind of submarginal fuller all along the edge enclosing what appears to be a less deeply carved central area. Has anybody encountered any barong resembling one of these features?
BTW, Michael: Congrats for getting that Bayu - I want pics of that one, too! :D
Regards,
Kai

Thanks Kai,
I am still excited that I got it.
It's the first I have ever seen for sale on eBay, or any other auction.
On your shandigan remarks I don't get it.
Don't most have that feature to make them better balanced?
The metal pattern on your barong however....
