I was visiting Kuala Lumpur last week and took the opportunity to visit the Islamic Arts Museum there.

The building occupies 30,000 square metres, situated amid the leafy surroundings of central Kuala Lumpur’s Lake Gardens.

The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia houses more than seven thousand artefacts, as well as an exceptional library of Islamic-art books.

The Arms and Armour Gallery is also very well designed and has representations from all over the Islamic world with special emphasis on the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.

Here are some snaps that I took.

Nidhi,
Thank you for showing these pictures from a far away museum, which not many of us will be able to see.
They do have quite a need collection of Indian dagger and they seem to be exhibited very well.
