I have bought from this fellow before but still a gamble. It does look a little rough, but the final price was a good 2/3 less than one would expect. Perhaps it will clean up quite pretty. It may even be old?

I was watching this one, too. I think it's a good one. I thought the price would have been higher.

As far as I can see from the pic, this piece has one side which is flat and the other one isn't. That's the way it should be with throwing knives.

Don't clean it too much, Tim. ;)

Finally got this and given it a brush up and acting on good advice I have decided that this is enough. I cannot call it rough and ready as essentially it is the same forged form as the fine example Luc shows with engraved decoration. More a grotesque, forged on a rough anvil {marks to both sides, is that deliberate?}with sharp ground edges ready for use. Its raw basic energy appeals to me a lot. I am really pleased with it. Before and after.

Seems to be a good, older piece. I see some pitting, but what do you want in the Central African climate.
